Montgomery Road
Everything a reviewer, radio programmer, or playlist curator needs — in one place.
Artist
Montgomery Road is a narrative-driven country music project built around people, places and the moments that stay with us long after they should have faded. Named for a real road in Norwood, Ohio — a small city completely surrounded by Cincinnati — the project draws its sense of place from the Queen City and its storytelling from the rich tradition of '80s and '90s country.
Every song tells a story. Characters have names. Situations turn. Endings don't always land clean. The production is full and cinematic — modern in scale, but rooted enough to feel like something that actually happened.
The catalog is organized as seasons. Season One, the debut album, established the world. Season Two begins September 4, 2026 with Green Light — the first song from a character who has done the hard work and is finally ready to move.
All songs written and produced by Phil Peyton.

The first warm day after a long winter. A tank of something burning and a stretch of clean daylight. Green Light opens Season Two with the feeling of finally letting go — windows down, radio on, no version of yourself riding along this time.

Twelve songs about love, loss, a ten-pound Chihuahua named Gizmo, a stepdaughter's wedding day, and the girl who never left anyone's head. Season One established the Montgomery Road world — funny where it needs to be, devastating where it has to be.
